John 3:23-24 tell us that there is a certain way that the Father wants to be worshiped.  It says that He is seeking the true worshiper.  It explains that the true worshiper will worship Him in spirit and in truth.  Someone might ask what does that mean?  Well, to worship God is spirit means that your worship comes from the heart.  We know that God wants to be loved with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind (Matthew 22:37).  Therefore, we are committed to the pursuit of worshiping Him perfectly in spirit, in addition to the worshiping Him perfectly in truth.  The Bible is the Word of Truth.  Therefore, to worship Him in truth means to worship Him the way He has said in scripture that He wants to be worshiped – not adding to it and not taking anything away from it.
